This is a reminder that we have multi-billion dollar corporations in our county that literally generate billions of dollars of profits quarterly, but these corporations get so much welfare from the county (and the city) that our public officials have to go to Austin to beg for help. They are not good neighbors. Their donations to police and non-profits of their choosing is not the same as them paying their fair share. This is a stark reminder. It's time to end Industrial District Agreements and their artificially low property valuations. When they don't pay their fair share, households' taxes are higher, our fees are higher, and we get shoddy services.
