Spring/Fall Equinox Celebrations

Spring Equinox 2026

For For the Greater Good (FTGG), the spring equinox is more than a seasonal event, it’s a reminder of balance, renewal, and collective growth. This celebrations reflects the importance of working toward a more just and equitable community, where people and the environment are cared for in meaningful ways.

The moment of the equinox signals a time to recommit to the work, to nurturing community spaces, amplifying local voices, and continuing efforts toward environmental justice in the Coastal Bend. Just as the earth begins to bloom, FTGG’s work grows through connection, action, and shared purpose. The equinox reminds us that meaningful change, like the seasons, is rooted in patience, care, and community.

Did you know?

The Spring Equinox occurs when the sun's warmth and light fall equally on the northern and southern halves of the planet. This also marks the first day of Spring in the northern hemisphere and is a symbol of new beginnings and a time for renewal in nature.

The Fall equinox, also called the autumnal equinox, marks the moment each year when day and night are nearly equal in length. It happens when the Sun is positioned directly over Earth’s equator, meaning both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres receive roughly the same amount of sunlight.

Whether you're in need of a fresh start or just want to enjoy a fun Saturday in the sun, we invite you to join the celebration!
